Camiguin Island, Philippines - The Island Born Of Fire

>> Tuesday, May 4, 2010

Last Lenten season, my family and I together with our housemates went to Camiguin Island (for the fifth time!) in Mindanao, Philippines to spend our Holy week there. For me, Camiguin Island sure is the all-in-one vacation destination. It's so complete that you can go to a White Sand Beach, or Dive in a cold Spring, or dip into a hot spring, or have a taste of a kind of water that tastes like Soda and more!

And since it's our 5th time to visit Camiguin Island, we were able to go around the Island and visit the important spots you should not miss and of course, we took pictures of them! If you haven't visited Camiguin Island yet, then you're missing 1/3rd of your life! Be sure to schedule your next vacation to Camiguin and experience the wonders of nature. Camiguin Island sure is one of the Best Places In The World.

Here's a Map of the Camiguin Island to guide you where to go and what you'll see.

And here's a list (with links to descriptions and pictures) of the tourist spots we have visited and you should visit too:

1. Sto. Nino Cold Spring
2. Ardent Hot Spring
3. White Island
4. Katibawasan Falls
5. Gui-ob Old Church Ruins
6. Walkway To The Old Volcano and Stations Of The Cross
7. Giant Clam Sanctuary and White Beach Of Cantaan
8. Sunken Cemetery

If you've been to Camiguin Island already, please share us your experiences! Leave a comment below. :)

Great article, good job on the list of places to visit, during my first visit there, we kinda miss most on your list. We only went to the white island because we thought it was the only thing to do on the island. will surely take notes and make sure to visit these places on my next trip there.
