Katibawasan Falls In Camiguin Island

>> Sunday, May 9, 2010

Welcome to Katibawasan Falls in Camiguin Island! This place is also just very accessible from the Ardent Hot Springs. For me, I think this is the Best Place in Camiguin Island to take a swim. You can really feel the nature around you and the water is colder than the Sto. Nino Cold Spring!

Katibawasan Falls is one of the treasured gifts nature has blessed the island of Camiguin.According to the locals, the Waterfalls measures about 250 feet high, cascades to a rock pool surrounded by ground orchids, wild ferns, trees and boulders. The falls rushes down into its green pool that is really refreshing for a good swim. Tourist are welcome to swim. It is an ideal place to cool off during hot and humid days. There is however an entrance fee of 30 pesos per person since the falls is maintained by the province. Giant ferns decorate the surrounding land, carpeting the spaces and huge trees and dropping vines provides the backdrop the falls.

When you visit Katibasawan Falls, you might want to wait for some monkeys that come out from the ferns and vines near the waterfalls. :) This sure is one of the Best Places In The World!
